By Leslie Moses
Carol Moses received a well-deserved thank you when she was awarded the 2014 Recreation Volunteer of the Year award final Council meeting of 2015. Carol spends much of her volunteer time working behind the scenes on her computer, but her work is very visible throughout the community. Carol designed the Splash, Mash & Dash Triathlon logo for both the T-shirts worn by the athletes and the hats worn by our volunteers. Eastman’s Recreation Guides are Carol’s creation, including everything from the cover to the placement of ads. The eye-catching flyers posted in our buildings and around the community showcase her strength in design.
Carol’s work has also appeared in Yankee Magazine, the Valley News, Kearsarge Magazine and Mount Sunapee Magazine and many others in the form of print ads. Her talents, however, are not limited to print. She has been involved in creating TV ads and promotional videos about the community and Eastman Golf Links. The Peppermint Patty’s teen team has had the pleasure of working with Carol to re-design their logo and menus over the past three seasons. And for several years, Carol has designed slides for Channel 10.
Carol could be found on the pickleball courts in Spring Glen or on the golf course when she was not working on one of her many advertising and marketing projects. She was instrumental in the capital project proposal that lead to the renovation of the pickleball courts this summer.
Eastman is extremely lucky to have such a talented volunteer who fills the role of graphic designer for the community. Thanks to Carol, we always look our best in print, online and on TV.
Leslie Moses is Eastman’s Chief Community Living Officer. She has directed Eastman’s recreation programming for the past 15 years.
